Privacy for your quit arc.
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how QuitArc (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) collects and uses information when you use our quit smoking companion. QuitArc is a wellness and habit-support app. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
What we collect
Information stored only on your device: quit dates, smoking habits, currency, reasons for quitting, check-ins, journal entries, reminder preferences, and progress. QuitArc does not upload this content to us, Firebase or AdMob.
App activity and diagnostics: Firebase may process app opens, session and basic interaction data, app version, operating system, device model, language, approximate region, crash stack traces, and performance information. QuitArc does not send your quit-plan details or journal content with analytics or crash reports.
Advertising and consent: Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform may process IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device and app information, ad impressions and interactions, diagnostics, consent choices, and SDK or device identifiers to provide ads, prevent fraud and measure performance. QuitArc disables Android advertising-ID access and requests non-personalized ads. Non-personalized ads can still use identifiers or local storage for functions such as frequency capping, measurement and fraud prevention.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos or message content. Smoking history, journal text and craving details are never included in ad requests or ad-targeting keywords.
How we use data
Information stored on your device powers your quit plan, progress and savings calculations, journal, and reminders. Aggregate analytics and diagnostics help us improve reliability and understand general feature usage. AdMob processes limited technical information to provide contextual advertising and support the app. Banners may appear after Journey and Journal content; quitting support, breathing exercises and check-ins do not require watching ads.
Third-party services
QuitArc uses Google services:
- Firebase Analytics helps us understand aggregate app usage.
- Firebase Crashlytics helps us identify and fix crashes.
- Google Play Services supports Android device services.
- Google AdMob provides advertising, fraud prevention and ad measurement.
- Google User Messaging Platform manages applicable ad privacy choices.
Children’s privacy
QuitArc is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can delete it.
Retention
Your saved plan and journal data remain on your device unless you delete the app data or remove the content in the app. Analytics and crash data are retained by their providers for the periods described in their policies and settings.
Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete saved entries in the app, delete all locally stored data from Settings, disable notifications in Android settings, and request access to or deletion of data associated with support interactions by contacting us. Where applicable, an ad consent form lets you choose how ad-related data is used. Settings shows “Ad privacy choices” when the consent provider requires an ongoing privacy options entry point. Ads are requested only when the consent SDK permits them; if consent or ad loading is unavailable, the app remains usable.
Security
We use platform security controls and reputable service providers to protect information. No electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as QuitArc changes. The “Last updated” date above will change when a new version is published. Continued use after an update means you have read the revised policy.
